Marika was selected again in 2007 to the Washington Post All-Met team. She
is believed by many to be the best 2007 player in the nation. She holds the Virginia record for most goals in
the season and most consecutive games in a row with a goal -- this while playing in the Northern Region Patriot District which
has produces more state champions than any other district. In nearly every game she was double and even triple-teamed,
but still scored. At the same time, she scored in twelve consecutive Div 1 club games. Marika is incredibly
strong, fast, and skilled with either foot. She was direct invited to both the State and Regional ODP teams, but
declined both offers.
Even with all of her skill and talent, Marika's attitude is second to none.
She is a super postive motivator on the field.
