Fall 2003
Finished season strong with six straight victories. The season got off to a slow start, losing two
of first three league games. Spent two weeks of summer camp learning zone defense and tested the defensive scheme
during a couple preseason tournaments. Nonetheless, there were problems in marking and positioning that had to
be worked out in the first couple weeks. The loss to Great Falls was an early morning game that followed a double-overtime
9-8 game against BRYC Courage which ended at nightfall. Galaxy had beaten Great Falls 4-0, 3-0, 2-0,
3-0 in last four WAGS games.
Summer 2003
The team picked up three outstanding players at tryouts this year. Liz Gartzke may by the quickest player around.
Jen Foltz is a top goalie in our age group. Per Roberto, Brittany may be the best, so we are now blessed with two of
the top goalies in our age group. Jen has played midfielder and central fullback during the past two years. Angie
Rey was the foundation of the ABGC defense for the past four years. She started varsity at Annandale H.S. as a
freshman and dominated her half of the field. She has yet to practice with the team as she will be spending the summer
in Spain.
Spring 2003
It's really not news, but the Galaxy is so darn good. That's cuz we have Whomp.
Fall 2002
Amy Weber and Whomp will be playing Super Y this summer.
